Children’s Faith Formation

The Children’s Faith Formation (CFF) program provides catechesis in preparation for receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion for those students Grades 1 – 5 attending public school.

Children generally begin formation when in first grade but may begin in any other additional grade.  The program is comprised of a three-year process, which includes the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Year 2, followed by the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in Year 3.

Understanding that parents are the first catechists of their child(ren), our goal is to support families in their continued faith journey.  Monthly parent meetings offer catechesis to partner with families in the development and formation of their children’s faith. As part of the curriculum families are to attend weekly Mass, participate in special liturgical celebrations and parish events.

Prayerfully consider volunteering as a catechist or room aides as the program is made possible with the help of  volunteers.
